Weight Even While Eating Restaurant Food

consider the foods you eat. Sometimes when you are on the road, fast food is a necessary evil since you have to eat something to avoid gastric related problems. The rest of this article aims to provide techniques on how to lose weight even while eating restaurant food. You might think that all fast food is harmful and might ruin your diet, but fast food often has healthier options that you can order.

Almost every fast food outlet has salads and food wraps that you can order. Avoid anything fried, since they contain larger amount of oil that is hard to digest. If you order salad or food wraps, ask for less of the dressing. You can ask this prior to ordering, or ask for a substitute if you can’t remove it entirely. Instead of mayonnaise, you can maybe try mustard instead. Small changes like these are helpful in your quest to losing weight while eating restaurant foods.

Avoid buffets. As heavenly as it sounds, buffet is a no-no if you are serious with your diet. Buffets are prepared in large batches, they are often fried and you simply don’t know what proportion of condiments are used for the said dishes. In addition, you must control your serving when eating out. Being aware of your calorie intake is important, the fewer calories you eat the less weight you will gain. Eating fewer calories doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to eat less. You can still eat the same amount of calorie with a bigger service, just be aware of your choices in food.

Read the menu carefully. Fast food and restaurants are required to list down the ingredients and information of certain dishes. If you choose your food wisely, you will avoid unwanted calorie intake. Plus, you might want to stay away from any super sized options. Limitation is the key to a good diet, and you must not get tempted with the added portion even if it’s a great deal.

Drink water instead of carbonated drinks or sweetened beverage. Water is essential to one’s diet because it keeps the body re-hydrated throughout the day. A person needs to consume at least 8 glasses of water. Sweetened beverage contains artificial sweeteners that are harder to digest to avoid it at all cost.

Try something vegetarian. Eating fruits and vegetables are the best option should you want to stay slim and fit. If you need a light snack, prepare cut fruits or vegetables and even nuts to bring with you for times when you need a quick boost of energy.

Just because you need to lose weight, doesn’t mean you have to avoid fast food outlets or restaurants. Remember you diet options and get to know the basic details about food groups and their benefits, to help you with deciding what to order. Enjoy your diet and share these secrets on how to lose weight even while eating restaurant food because not everything in a fast food outlet is bad for our health.

Make Your Kitchen A Fast Food

Yes, you’ve read the heading correctly, this is a post about fast food and how you can make it in your own kitchen. When we speak about fast food, we are not speaking about food that comes from a fast food chain of restaurants. What we are talking about here, is food that you can prepare, quickly and easily in your own home.

When you begin following the Atkins® way of eating, you will find that there is a huge variety of foods that can be eaten on the diet and more over, an almost endless choice of recipes that your own personal menu can be made up from. And because it is your menu, you can make it as interesting, elaborate or as simple as you choose.

“Where is this fast food you promised, I’ve been waiting an age now and still now sign of it!” Don’t worry, it is on its way to you post haste, just sit back and enjoy the post.

Here are a few recipes that will allow you to cook a hearty breakfast or lunch or dinner in record time. This addresses two issues. Firstly it allows you to have more time in your day whilst still eating properly and two it prevents you from snacking on empty carbs from a vending machine. So, let us begin at the beginning, with breakfast.

Breakfast: The Humble Omelette

The omelette is a super food and it is also super quick to prepare and make. There are countless combinations of fillings that you can put into your omelette and ultimately this will be dictated by you.The base ingredient for an omelette is eggs. The basic utensils required to make an omelette are, a pan and a spatula. So, without further ado, here is one of my own personal favorite omelettes, the 3 Cheese Omelette.

Ingredients: per 1 serving

  • 2 large eggs (free range)
  • 1/2 tbsp of real butter
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled wensleydale cheese
  • 1/4 cup gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper
  • some fresh parsley

3 Cheese Omelette

To make the omelette, heat the pan and add the butter. Once the butter is melted the pan is hot enough to add the eggs that you have lightly beaten in a cup. Reduce heat slightly and allow the eggs to cook until almost all of the egg has become solid the whole way through. Add the three types of cheese by sprinkling it over one half of the egg, add salt and pepper for flavor. Just as the cheese is beginning to melt, take your spatula and fold the half of the omelette with no cheese over on top of the half that has the cheese. Gently press down on the folded omelette. Turn off heat and allow omelette to finish cooking or until the cheese has melted to your liking. Garnish with some fresh parsley and transfer to a warm plate and serve. From start to finish, making an omelette like the one described in this recipe will take you no more than 5 minutes. Now that is FAST FOOD

Lunch: A Salad Supreme

The great thing about making a salad for lunch is you can prepare this while your breakfast is cooking. We make this salad in the mornings before leaving the house. Once you have the base ingredients like red wine vinegar/cinder vinegar, olive oil, mixed salad leaf, lettuce, scallion/onion then you can begin adding whatever other ingredients that you feel would make up a tasty salad for you. In the recipe below you will see avocado and cherry tomato. Both of these make any salad wonderful.

Avocado Salad

Ingredients: per 1 serving

  • half a bowl lettuce/mixed leaf salad
  • 1-2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of red wine vinegar
  • half dozen cherry tomato’s
  • 1 tsp dried coriander or 1 tbsp of fresh coriander
  • 1 tsp salt 3 medium scallions (spring onion)
  • 1 ripe avocado

Tasty and Easy Avocado and Tomato Salad

To make the salad, you need to quarter the cherry tomato’s and place in a small bowl. Add the vinegar and coriander and salt to the tomato’s and allow to marinate. In a larger bowl add the lettuce/salad leaf, spring onion; cube the scooped out avocado and add to the bowl. Mix all together using your hands or a salad spoon. Once everything is roughly mixed, add the contents of the smaller bowl containing the cherry tomato’s back into the larger bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the whole salad and serve or store in a container for later use.

Finally, when you arrive home from a long day and it is time for dinner, getting actual fast food sometimes seems like the simplest option. Stop! You don’t need to submit to these cravings. Here is a super quick idea for dinner that is both delicious and filling.

Restaurant Franchises

Many different types of restaurant franchises are to be found on our high streets and in our shopping malls. There are fast-casual outlets, where made-to-order sandwiches, panini, salads and desserts are prepared, catering for the busy office, factory or construction worker or shopper. Cheap and cheerful fast food outlets are always plentiful, offering burgers, kebabs, fried chicken or pizza for those on a budget or in a rush. There are specialist coffee houses, offering an array of freshly brewed coffees from around the world, along with a tempting selection of muffins, cookies and cakes. Then there are restaurant franchises offering more substantial and up-market cuisine, often specialising in food from a particular country such as China, Italy or Japan. Although still reasonably priced, a meal at such an outlet will cost more than at other restaurant franchises, with marketing strategies directed principally at white collar workers and premises often sited near government complexes, universities and hospitals.

Restaurant franchisors enter into franchise agreements, which grant franchisees the exclusive right to develop and operate businesses at certain locations. Initial franchise fees are recognized as revenue when all material services and conditions required to be performed by the head office have been substantially completed, which is generally when the restaurant opens. Franchisees are required to pay royalties to the head office, based on a percentage of gross sales as reported through the franchisees’ point of sales systems. The royalties are recognized as revenue in the period corresponding to the sales reporting period. Typically, weekly reports on sales at each franchise location are received by the head office and revenue is calculated directly from those reports. Franchisees are usually required to contribute to an advertising fund, typically at a rate of up to 2% of total franchisee gross sales.

Restaurant franchises market their menus primarily through targeted local store marketing efforts, mail drops, media advertising, and print campaigns. The franchising company relies on the cash deposits from franchise sales as well as royalty fees from existing restaurant franchises to support the expenses of the business. Revenue is derived from the sale of franchises, from royalties paid by franchisees and from the sale of food and drinks at the franchised restaurants. Revenues can be increased by adding new company-owned restaurants, selling new franchises and expanding the range and consumption of food and beverage products sold.
